Flow Measurement Technology

First Meeting for 2016

1 PDH will be provided

Topic: Do Your Flow Meters Have a Happy Home ?

There has been plentiful discussion about flow measurement technology and
selection, but the criteria and methods of installation are an important factor that should not be
overlooked. In his presentation, Ron Davis of FCX Performance discusses the why and how of
flow meter installation. He will cover the effect of piping and fittings of flow stream shape and
profile, and how to install various type of flow measurement devices to maximize measurement

Ron Davis started his career in 1978 with A.E. Ehrke & Co. as a Fisher Controls Valve sales engineer.

Since then Ron has had many sales related functions working both for valve manufacturers and instrument sales reps. Ron is currently employed by FCX Performance (26 years) where he has been a field salesman, product & instrumentation specialist and branch manager. Seven years ago Ron gave up direct sales and developed FCX University where he delivers sales, technical application and technical product training for 140 sales people along with customer training and technical seminars.

During his 20 years field sales with FCX Performance Ron had responsibility for:

BP/Husky Toledo Refinery

Toledo Refining, formerly Sun Refinery
