About the Program  (PDH: 1 Hour Professional Development):

Joshua Newton, Network & Security Engineer at Rockwell Automation, will discuss Cybersecurity.

Security threats to Industrial Automation Control System networks are constantly evolving and changing. It is requisite for vulnerability awareness and mitigation to be equally dynamic in the Connected Enterprise. This session will focus on awareness surrounding the current threat landscape information available, vendor agnostic technologies available to reduce the risk of security vulnerabilities, and design best practices for keeping your Industrial Automation Control System reliable and secure.

In addition, Cliff Whitehead, Manager, Technology Business Development at Rockwell Automation, will provide a coffee / dinner update on ISA 100 Wireless.

In working to assure confidence in, and the integrity of, wireless technology, and to provide criteria for implementation in manufacturing automation and control systems, the ISA 100 Committee has launched a number of project teams.  Each team’s goal is to develop documents that will help users make the right decisions on industrial wireless implementations.  This session will update you on the various projects and documents that are ongoing in the committee and how they will impact what you do.
